I have always been creative and enjoyed drawing and painting. For 4 years I also had the opportunity to really delve into myself and develop my creativity through the Art School in Sunderbyn. Here I dared to start experimenting with color and also with different materials. During these years I found my own expression that I have since developed and pursued.

I have become fascinated by the versatility of acrylic paint where you can work with layers upon layers in thin mixtures but also create structures by filling or painting on other materials. I love letting the color flow and find its own paths and then let this chaos of color take shape and be driven towards something tangible. Sometimes I also use oil paint to really get these soft, shifting transitions between the different shadows and colors.

The motifs sometimes come from the shapes that the colors form and sometimes from predetermined sketches that, however, have to give room to the color’s own life. A recurring theme is the human being, usually a woman, whose expression tells a story that hopefully arouses thoughts and interpretations from the viewer’s own feelings and experiences.
